Every year Linus goes out to the pumpkin patch to wait for the Great Pumpkin to appear. For many loan officers, their desk has become their pumpkin patch and the same thing happens
1. Refocus. The mental game will kill you or help you. It is your choice. Have a Realtor pull the activity in your area for the last 90 days. I bet you will be surprised at how many closings actually happened. Once you have the information, ask yourself, How many of the deals are you getting?
2. Get out from the pumpkin patch Charlie Brown. Many of you have been sitting the the pumpkin patch waiting on the Great Lead Pumpkin to bring you qualified deals. You just can not do this anymore. Get out in the neighborhood and do some trick or treating of your own. Go and meet the agents that are producing right now. Share some of your insight with them, they will appreciate it!
3. Change your costume. You can be anything you want to be, but be something. Above all specialize. You can not wear multiple costumes at halloween, so why do you think you can in your business. You have to become a specialist and drill down on the market that is working.
4. Have someone go along with you. Good parents go trick or treating with their kids. If you feel lost and unsure, get a coach to guide you during this market. The truth is it can be scary to go alone.
